JOB DESCRIPTION
– General residential remodeling
– Basic framing
– Finish carpentry (doors, millwork, etc.)
– Flooring installation
– Installation of basic plumbing fixtures

– Able to work well alone and with 1-2 others
– Able to perform physical tasks including but not limited to carrying, lifting, climbing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and hauling. Will be expected to lift on a regular basis between 50-100 lbs.

– Install hardware (doorknobs, TP holders, towel bars, etc.)
– Set cabinets, cabinet hardware
– Frame complex decks
– Frame interior and exterior walls
– Properly install windows and exterior doors
– Properly install flashing and housewraps
– Poor concrete and apply smooth or broom finish (6’ x 6’ area)
– Power tool care and maintenance
– Ability to read and follow a Scope of Work order
– Install siding with direction
– Install floating flooring
– Paint wall with rollers
– Paint exterior trim with brush
– Ability to tow and back a trailer
– Install insulation
– Properly maintain company vehicles (clean, maintenance)
– OSHA knowledge (advanced level)
– Ability to read and understand blueprints

– Ability to work independently (no supervisor)
– Mentor and train apprentices and carpenters

– Ability to patch/repair roofing
– Basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC knowledge
– Lead-based paint certified (RRP Renovator)
– Ability to recognize possible asbestos materials
– Ability to install and flash roof vents
– Ability to paint small projects (interior and exterior)
– Ability to spray/paint larger areas (walls and trim)
– Ability to do material take-offs from plans
– Ability to plan ahead for materials ordering
– Ability to estimate hours and labor
– Ability to articulate job info to Clients (when needed)
– Knowledge of proper attic/crawl space ventilation
– Ability to efficiently delegate tasks
– Ability to manage sub-contractors
– Ability to follow a job schedule
– Ability to interact with inspectors
– NARI certified lead carpenter

EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS
– HS diploma or GED
– 2 years’ experience minimum
– Residential construction knowledge
– Understand written & verbal instruction
– Able to climb a ladder up to 30 feet
– Able to lift and carry 80 lbs.
– Valid Driver’s License and Reliable transportation

Most jobs are in Yamhill and Washington Counties.
